Shopping for Fabric:
If you’ve been following me on facebook for the past while or met me at Oldcastle Show last week – you will be pleased to know that I’ve gotten all the fabric uploaded onto the website and you can now start shopping for fabric on www.dressfabrics.ie.
It’s all very simple – head over to the Fabric Shop tab on the website, select which categories you’d like to look at and take it from there.
How to Order Fabric:
You can order fabric in multiples of 1 Metre, (a little over 39 inches). The minimum amount you can order is 1 M but you can order as many metres as are available. The widths and weight of each type of fabric are displayed individually on each page. If you need more fabric than what is available – contact us -in most cases we should be able to order more in. Just type in the number of metres of fabric you want and click the add to cart button. Proceed to checkout once you have finished shopping for fabric (for now) and fill out your details in the account section – We need your name and address for shipping purposes. You pay by PayPal so we don’t have any record of your credit card information. It’s all quite straightforward and secure. We will post your order within 48 hours but if you order early in the day – we will do our best to get it out to you the same day if possible.
There are links to color-card on many of the fabric pages where other colours or patterns of the fabric can be ordered in. Email us – firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to order any of these fabrics. Delivery will take 1 – 2 weeks in this instance.
Sometimes it can be hard to tell the exact colour of a fabric or you just need to check the feel of the fabric before you want to commit to buying. Thats ok, its a tactile business and I fully understand this – drop me a quick email with the full SKU number of each fabric you’d like a sample of with your name and address and I’ll pop them in the post to you asap.
You can order up to 5 samples free of charge – this is an introductory offer once you have signed up to the newsletter. Otherwise there will be a charge of €1 for each 5 samples.
We will be ordering more fabric to fill up the shelves in the coming months – there may be a few gaps at present so if you don’t see what you are looking for right now – keep checking back. Of course we will be keeping you updated here and on our facebook page.
Top of my current shopping list are kids fabrics in poplin, fleece, flannel and jersey. I’m also on the look out for something nice for christmas party dresses and winter wedding guest dresses. If there’s anything in particular you’d like us to source for you – drop us an email or call us – we have a good network of suppliers and should be able to facilitate your requirements.
Enjoy browsing our website – we hope you find something you like. Like us on facebook or sign up for the newsletter to keep updated with new fabrics in the shop and all sorts of sewing related information.
Have a great weekend,
Maeve and the team.
